Doug is a CPA and earned a bachelor's of business administration degree in accounting and administrative management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has 17 years of experience in public accounting, serving a number of clients, primarily those in the property and casualty insurance industry. He assists clients with a variety of services including strategic planning, annual statement preparation, accounting for inter-company poolings, merger and acquisition analysis, reinsurance analyses, and litigation support. He also oversees the preparation of insurance company income tax returns for our firm. Doug has also worked on several special projects for the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance of the State of Wisconsin, including training new regulators in insurance accounting.
Doug participates in numerous insurance industry and professional organizations. He is a member of the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association (IASA) and the Wisconsin Insurance Accountants Conference (WIAC). Doug recently served on the Board of the Wisconsin Chapter of IASA. He is also a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and has volunteered for the WICPA Insurance Committee.
