Gary is a CPA and earned a bachelor’s of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He has 26 years of public accounting experience, exclusively serving clients in the insurance industry.
Gary's clients have included property and casualty insurance companies, life insurance companies, accident and health insurance companies, dental insurers, HMOs, the Wisconsin Insurance Security Fund, and various insurance departments. In addition to traditional audit and tax services, he helps insurance clients with annual statement preparation, corporate governance assistance, mergers and acquisitions, statutory to GAAP conversions, litigation support, strategic planning, codification implementation, and numerous day-to-day operational issues.
Gary is active in numerous insurance industry and professional organizations. He is a member of the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association and the Wisconsin Insurance Accountants Conference. He is also a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and served as the chairperson of the WICPA's Insurance Committee. Gary currently contributes his time and serves on the Accounting Committee of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies. Gary also routinely provides consulting services to other accounting firms on various insurance issues.
