Heather is a partner responsible for audit, tax, and consulting services provided to insurance entities. Heather has worked extensively with property/casualty, life, fraternal life, and health insurers. Her 20 years of experience includes audits, tax return preparation and review, various types of consulting, including regulatory filing and investment accounting assistance, merger assistance, various agreed upon procedures, and evaluation of internal controls. Heather has a leadership role in Strohm Ballwegs SB Solutions area which has included serving as the Chief Financial Officer for a specialty property/casualty insurer.
In addition to being a CPA, Heather has attained the Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) designation. She is also currently working on obtaining her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation through the CPCU Society.
Heather graduated from University of Wisconsin La Crosse with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association, the Wisconsin Insurance Accountants Conference, and the American Fraternal Alliance. She is a frequent speaker on topics relating to statutory accounting and corporate governance and regularly presents at the American Fraternal Alliance Board Institute. Heather also serves as the Treasurer for a local nonprofit entity.
Heather coordinates recruiting for the firm, including the internship program. She also contributes to her alma mater, the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, by being a member of the Accountancy Advisory Committee.
